Nuggets – Family Sim

This past Thursday, I was made aware of a new family sim dedicated to children. Please join me as I venture through the beautiful family sim called Nuggets.

Stepping out of the taxi, I was greeted by a friendly voice welcoming me to Nuggets. As my eyes adjusted to the sunlight, memories of other adventures (real-life) came to mind as I took in the arcade, restaurants, and the boardwalk strip leading to the Ferris Wheel. I ventured down the boardwalk a bit to read the sign in front of the Ferris wheel; learning about the location’s upcoming grand opening.

Hearing the taxi depart, I turned around and moved towards the road once more. Noticing the enticing beach front, the availability of wagons and dino cars to ride, the daily events board, and the path leading off in various directions.

Deciding which way I would embark, I turned to the left and followed the road listening to the sounds emerging from the environment around me. Rounding the bend, I found myself in front of a nibbles parlor and outdoor gaming tables. The Bowling sign piqued my interest and off I went in search of the familiar clatter of pins crashing against the polished wood lanes.

Satisfied with finding the bowling ally and other games, I returned to the parlor and enjoyed an ice cream before venturing further around Nuggets.

Through my travels, I explored various children’s stores, campfire locations, playgrounds, outdoor activity areas, and local wildlife. I even had the pleasure of meeting some little explorers arriving for musical chairs (but realizing they had missed it – they were happy to explore the area).

Information about Nuggets

Nuggets, is located on Nuggets in Second Life.

In their words “Nuggets is a family-friendly sim where kids can participate in events, classes & earn special rewards and unique prizes from the community of stores that live on Nuggets. Weekly activities for kids and families with an awesome group of stores that support the family community. Sim changes monthly with quests, hunts, fishing, arcade, horse back riding, bowling, stories, games & more!”

While you visit Nuggets, be sure to check out the following locations:

The Arcade, Ferris Wheel, the beaches, rides, games in the park and skybox, Bowling ally, shops, visit the forested areas, playground, restaurants, 7 Seas fishing, and join in on the daily activities.

All The Little Things

Each month a group of talented and creative designers gather together to peddle their wears to a diverse group of like minded individuals in Second Life. All The Little Things caters to a special group of role players, those who take on the persona of a child. In the past All The Little Things focused on just one group of individuals and has since changed their focus to include all children from Toddleedoo, SMB avatars, to regular kids. They also welcome creators of all ages opening their doors to Tweens as well.

Each month is based around a theme for the designers to create amazing products around. Some sell clothing, toys, poses, and so much more. There is a little something for everyone. The event runs from the 1st of the month until the 22nd of the month.

If you are looking to do a little shopping for the child in your life be sure to add All The Little Things to your list of events to attend each month, you never know what you might find.
